This morning I was perusing the Madewell sale when I realized I love all of their accessories.  All of them.  I have a tendency to “forget” about accessories.  Usually I throw on my gifted pearl earrings and wear my watch and call it a day.  Consider this my mid-year resolution to start trying to wear more accessories.

Anniversary

This Saturday, my boyfriend and I are celebrating our 2-year anniversary.  We collectively decided it wasn’t lame to celebrate the 2-year mark and we are both very excited for a night on the town.  Since we don’t get dressed up for much often, I have found myself thinking about my outfit all week!  The strange part is, Pittsburgh has been experiencing seriously hot weather (we’re talking mid-nineties), and this Saturday the forcasted high is currently sitting at 64 degrees with a chance of rain.  While my boyfriend is excited “it’s flannel weather!!!”, I’m looking forward to busting out a Silence & Noise navy blazer I picked up on sale at Urban Outfitters along with this dress below I bought in April and have yet to find an excuse to wear.

Lazy Weekend

While I love nights out on the town, I can sincerely say I prefer going into the weekend with no concrete plans.  With hopes to do some back-to-school shopping (and enjoy the end-of-summer sales), soak up the remaining bits of August sun at the pool, and finally see Avatar in IMAX (thank goodness for the re-release), my boyfriend and I are excited to enjoy some spare time together.  First day of part-time grad school starts Monday, where did this summer go?  Enjoy your weekend!

Sometimes when browsing blogs, I come across something that I can’t help but investigate more thoroughly, even though I have absolutely no use for them.  One of my current obsessions are these beautiful decorative lights made by Cable & Cotton.

Vacation in Myrtle Beach

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to go visit our friends in Myrtle Beach.  We were only there Thursday through Sunday, but it did wonders for my attitude.  With grad school starting up next Monday, I’m trying to squeeze every last inch of summer into these remaining days.

If you’re planning a vacation to Myrtle Beach soon, I have to recommend making the trip to Russell’s Seafood Grill.  We stopped in on our final night and had the best meal at the coolest little spot in Murrell’s Inlet.

While I never actually thought I’d say this, this concert was probably life-changing.  The man didn’t miss a note.  What a way for Pittsburgh to christen the new arena.  Enjoy my photos, taken on my crappy little camera : )
